Introduction to the Stratevist Journal

Moving forward while acknowledging that we stand on the shoulders and the achievements of many courageous people and consequential thought engines such as the publications Freedomways, The Crisis, Black Scholar, Negro Digest and Muhammad Speaks, which gave energy and intellectual stimuli to the civil and international human rights movements.

These publications were essential for connecting thought and action as they were platforms for exchanging and debating ideas between thought leaders and the public at large.

As we enter an axial age, it is necessary to look back to assess where we have come from and to look forward to where we should go from here.

In the tradition of the earlier deliberative magazines, the Stratevist Journal will be a platform to reflect on, to discuss and to debate ideas and best practices with regard to our continuing struggle for our human rights.

The ability to connect and to exchange ideas is a major source of our strength.
